Rev. Dr. Arockiasamy Antony S.J., M.Sc, M.Phil, Ph.D. is a Jesuit priest belonging to Madurai Province , India. He is at present the Administrator and Professor of Management in St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (JIM), St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli and the Director of Pondicherry Central University Twinning M.BA. Programme. Before he assumed the present responsibilities, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Professor of Mathematics at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, India. He has done his Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics under the title ”FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR RAY ORIENTED MAPS” and was awarded by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu). He has published his thesis through various articles in International reputed journals. He has attended many national and International conferences and presented papers. His book on his ongoing research in Mathematics (Functional Analysis) titled: A Brief Survey on Fixed Point Theorems with an Invitation to SOME FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR RAY ORIENTED MAPS ( ISBN: 978 – 93 – 95202 – 86 – 2) was released by the Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee on 08th February, 2024, the Foundation Day of the St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. This same book was presented to the Chair, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Loyola University, Chicago, USA, during the visit of Rev. Dr. Arockiasamy Antony S.J. to United States of America in May, 2024 . Moreover, he visited two more Jesuit Universities, namely, Georgetown Jesuit University and Siattle Jesuit University during his recent visit to USA. He has been teaching Mathematics and holding administrative responsibilities for the past 30 years in various esteemed Jesuit Institutions of higher Education both in South and North East India – Loyola College(Autonomous), Chennai; St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Palayamkottai, Tamil Nadu; St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, Nagaland; Loyola College, Williamnagar, Meghalaya and St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. He has also done the Licenciate in Sacred Scripture at Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome, Italy. He has been the visiting faculty for Scripture in various theologates.
