Dr. Y. Arul Sulochana Associate Professor of Finance | Dean – Students | Chair – International Relations
Dr. Y. Arul Sulochana is an Associate Professor of Finance at St. Joseph's Institute of Management (JIM), Tiruchirappalli, with over 16 years of professional experience, including 14+ years in management education and 2 years of industry experience in financial services. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Anna University and is a Recognized Research Supervisor of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Her areas of expertise include Financial Management, Investment Analysis, Financial Analytics, Econometrics, Business Research Methods, ESG Finance, and Financial Markets. She has published research in reputed Web of Science, Scopus, ABDC, and UGC Care indexed journals and has presented papers at national and international conferences, including those hosted by universities in Malaysia. Dr. Arul Sulochana has received research and academic grants from AICTE and the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD). She has completed an Executive Development Programme in Financial Analytics from XLRI and several professional development programmes offered by leading institutions such as IIMs, IITs, and international universities. Currently serving as Dean – Students and Chair – Research & International Relations at JIM, she actively contributes to academic leadership, research promotion, industry engagement, and institutional internationalization. She has facilitated international academic collaborations, coordinated student mobility initiatives in Singapore, and hosted faculty engagements with partner institutions from Malaysia and Singapore. Her research interests include Financial Markets, Financial Literacy, ESG and Sustainable Finance, Banking and Financial Services, Econometric Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence in Finance. She is committed to fostering academic excellence, research culture, and global learning opportunities for students and scholars.
